Q: Isn't the Golden Dawn a secret Order?

A: The traditional Golden Dawn was a highly secretive order, but due to changes in the schema of the Order, our culture and society, as well as the consensus of the Temple members, our Temple is secretive only in regards to the names of our members and any oral teachings imparted unto students.

Q: Is the Golden Dawn a religion?

A: Absolutely not. Members of the Golden Dawn can be any religion they choose. Our Denver Golden Dawn members run the gamut from Buddhist, Gnostic, non-religious and more. The Golden Dawn does not require you to believe in any or no religion, though religious symbology is used throughout the teachings of the Golden Dawn.

Q: Do you allow visitors to your meetings?

A: Only initiated Temple members are permitted to regular Temple meetings.

Q: Do you offer correspondence courses or long distance membership?

A: No. We prefer to have members who are willing to take time and energy to attend physical temple meetings as often as is reasonably possible. The twice a year Equinox meetings are mandatory, as are as many regular meetings as can be attended. Given the nature of the weather in the Colorado region, we are flexible but do not offer long distance or "astral" initiations.

Q: How much are dues? Does it cost for initiations?

A: Dues are currently set at $144 per year (a modest $12.00 per month), but can change decided by the voting membership of the Temple or as necessary. We do not charge fees for initiations, however the first two months dues are required at the time of the Neophyte initiation. You can pay either monthly or yearly according to your means.

Q: Is your temple associated with a larger Order?

A: Our temple is completely independent of any other Order in the world. We do not find it necessary to involve ourselves in the
politics that often accompanies such membership, though we maintain friendly relations with all groups that share our ideals for the Golden Dawn and its current. We are merely far more interested in doing the work and helping others on their path toward the divine.

Q: Is your temple traditional Golden Dawn?

A: Yes. Our Temple bases its Outer Order initiation ceremonies on the published Golden Dawn initiations. These ceremonies have been modified and adapted in certain small ways that add a unique experience for our Temple Members. The Inner Order focuses on a traditional Golden Dawn structure, but adds much more to the knowledge and experience as well. This goes far beyond the "Knowledge & Conversation of the HGA" (K&C) into realms that cannot be covered here. Our Inner Order is not solely K&C-oriented by any means.
